Take your pick from a range of leisure activities for your winter break. Here is an overview: 

Ski and snowboard

The fantastic Arosa-Lenzerheide network features 225 km of pistes and starts directly in front of the Arosa Kulm Hotel. If you are looking to improve your style, our 180 ski and 40 snowboard instructors will help you hit every curve perfectly. Snowboarders can enjoy some air time with a halfpipe on the Tschuggen.

Cross-country skiing

Explore 26.5 km of cross-country ski trails on Maran, Praetschalp/Ochsenalp, in the Isel and on the Obersee. Should you need some help in mastering the skating or classical technique, the Arosa cross-country ski centre will be happy to help; tel +41 (0)81 378 75 05.

Ice hockey/ice skating

From mid November to mid April, you can step out on to the Obersee artificial ice rink or take to the ice in the Sport and Congress Centre. Expert skating instructors are available on request. The Sport and Congress Centre can also be booked for conferences and training courses from the end of June to mid April.

Curling and ice stick shooting

Curling and ice stick shooting are popular activities at the outdoor artificial ice rink on the Obersee. The Arosa tourist board offers taster courses. Ask the concierge for more information.

Winter hiking and snowshoe walking

More than 40 km of specially prepared hiking and walking paths lead you directly from Arosa Kulm Hotel through the Arosa mountain landscape. All the mountain restaurants and huts are accessible to hikers. Ask the concierge for more information and walking maps.

Tobogganing

Fun for all the family. Toboggan runs at Prätschli train station (illuminated at night) and Tschuggenhütte–Innerarosa (Kulm). Toboggans are available free of charge at Arosa Kulm Hotel.

Free Ride Mountain

Feeling brave? Or just crazy? Unique in Switzerland and in the middle of the winter sports area. Pure, deep snow, not a prepared piste in sight and easy to reach by train. Meet on the terrace of the Sattelhütte lodge with its beautiful views. Free Ride Mountain – the challenge for those looking for the ultimate kick.

Tennis

Ask the concierge to book a tennis court. Courts are available a few steps from Arosa Kulm Hotel or in the tennis hall near the town entrance.

Summer sports

Arosa Kulm Hotel also offers a wide variety of leisure activities in summer.

Golf

Enjoy a breathtaking alpine panorama and work on your handicap on Europe’s highest golf course. The 18-hole course is open to all golfers with a handicap or license. Reserve your tee time with the concierge.

Nordic walking

Nordic walking is a popular activity in Arosa and especially in Kulm. Conquer the course as it takes you across the entire walking range. Or are you looking to achieve your fitness goals with the help of an expert trainer? Your host, André Salamin, is a professional Nordic walking instructor and an experienced trainer, who will be happy to accompany you on the trails through Arosa’s alpine countryside.


Short trails: Kulm 6.5 km and Valsana 2.7 km

Trails: Scheidegg 9.5 km and Arlenwald 10.0 km

Biking

Explore the mountain environment in Arosa with more than 60 km of trails – as active or as relaxed as you please. Take a pit stop on the Ochsenalp or at the Carmennahütte lodge before heading back to Arosa Kulm Hotel for a sports massage.

Tennis

Ask the concierge to book a tennis court. Courts are available a few steps from Arosa Kulm Hotel or in the tennis hall near the town entrance.

Alpine garden

The alpine garden on Maran (near the golf course) belongs to ETH Zurich and showcases the flora and fauna found in Arosa. Experience the region’s biodiversity with a free tour.

Rope park

Put your skill and courage to the test in the great outdoors and explore the six courses in the rope park. Entrance is free for hotel guests with the All-Inclusive Card.

Kulm rally


The perfect event for company events, birthday celebrations and more

Arosa Kulm Hotel has created a route of curves, kilometres and class. Pure enjoyment from start to finish. Cruise along country roads through Toggenburg, Liechtenstein and the Bündner Herrschaft, and enjoy Switzerland from a different perspective.

 

This rally is not about being the fastest – on the contrary, take your time and reach the finish safely. Three stops along the way allow you to take a break, but don’t become too laid back! There are tasks to solve that will test your skill and knowledge.

 

Discover fine gourmet vinegars in a tasting at Salenegg Castle. Afterwards, travel through the Bündner Herrschaft to Chur and reach the finish line after 360 curves.

Schanfigger Heimat Museum

Go on a journey through time and discover the Schanfigger Heimat Museum less than a five-minute walk from Arosa Kulm Hotel.

Historical customs and traditions from past centuries are brought back to life. These are all woven into wonderful stories by Ruth Licht and make a visit to the museum a true experience.
